Clinical Governance Compliance

Our approach is based on three core principles: People, Safety and Integrity.

PSI Health operates within a defined clinical governance framework to ensure that all occupational health services are delivered safely, consistently, and in line with recognised professional and regulatory standards.

We recognise that occupational health advice often informs decisions with legal, operational and safety implications. As such, our governance systems are designed to ensure that all advice is clinically robust, proportionate, and capable of withstanding external scrutiny.

Clinical governance framework

PSI Health works within a structured clinical framework to ensure that assessments and advice are consistent, safe and appropriate.

Each piece of work follows a defined process, from referral through to report so that decisions are based on the same principles each time.

Where cases are more complex, there are clear escalation routes to ensure that they are reviewed at the right level.

The aim is not to overcomplicate things, but to make sure that advice is reliable, well-reasoned and delivered in a consistent way.

Independence

PSI Health provides independent occupational health advice.

Our role is to look at the individual, the job, and the wider context, and provide a balanced medical opinion.

We do not act on behalf of either the employer or the employee. Instead, we focus on what is reasonable, proportionate and clinically appropriate.

This approach helps ensure that decisions are fair, and that the advice provided can be relied upon if it is ever reviewed or challenged.

Data protection

We handle personal and medical information carefully and in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

Information is stored securely and only accessed by those who need it to carry out their role.

Employees are informed about how their information will be used, and consent is obtained where required.

Only relevant occupational health advice is shared with the employer. Medical detail is not disclosed unless there is a clear and appropriate reason to do so.

Regulatory alignment

PSI Health delivers services in line with recognised occupational health guidance and relevant legislation.

This includes working within established frameworks for health surveillance and statutory medicals, as well as following guidance from professional bodies.

Assessments are carried out with an understanding of both clinical standards and workplace requirements, particularly in safety-critical roles.

This ensures that advice is not only clinically sound, but also appropriate for the setting in which it is applied.

Quality assurance

We focus on providing clear, consistent and timely advice.

This is supported by structured report formats, defined ways of working, and ongoing review of clinical output.

Where appropriate, reports and decisions are reviewed to ensure consistency and to support continuous improvement.

Feedback from clients and employees is also used to refine the service over time.

The aim is simple, to make sure that the quality of advice remains reliable and consistent.
